RE:Burger

RE:Burger started as a food truck North Dunedin, around the Otago University, in 2017.
Since then, the business has gone on to open stores nationwide, including 2 locations in Dunedin, as well as stores in the North Island.
I chose this website as it has some unique design elements that I find really interesting, as well as it being one of my favorite burger spots.
To start off, when you land on the web page you aren't greeted by a typical home page layout.
The main title of the page is actually located in the middle of the screen and grabs your attention as soon as you enter:
I think this is a nice design choice, and moves away from the typical style of home pages.
They have also decided to keep the home page really simple, with a few buttons to choose from, such as the Order Now button etc., it keeps the user engaged on why they're probably there in the first place - either to check it out for the first time or order online.
As you scroll down, the web page changes theme to a white backdrop and presents their burger range as a slideshow.
I think is a unique way of displaying what they have to offer, in a fashion that highlights each product as it is brought to the spotlight:
If you get curious about their history and where they started, you can click on the "About Us" button and get taken to a page that simply outlines how they got to where they are.
Another aspect I enjoy about this website is the way they've laid out the ordering section when you hover over the Order Now button.
It splays out with areas they have a store in, and then you can easily chose the location you'd like to order from without having to be navigated off the page:
One thing I really like about this website that I would try to incorporate in future websites is the dedication to the theme of not just the website, but of their brand that they've built as well.
If you've ever gone into a RE:Burger store and then visit the website, you can easily tell that they are committed to their brand and the vibe that comes with it.
